We have a similar day bed made of wood. It took us a while to realize that it’s designed for kids only because the max weight is only 160 lb! My hubby has been hesitate to sleep on it ever since. This metal frame bed is a great addition to our family! We put this in our office area, so we(adults) can rest as needed without worrying about the weight limit! It is very sturdy. I purchased the KOMFOTT Twin Size Wood Platform Bed Frame with 2 Storage Drawers for my small kid’s room. The bed’s sleek wood design fits in well with the décor, and the storage drawers are a huge bonus for keeping extra bedding and seasonal clothes out of sight. The instructions were clear. It only took me about 1 hour to put it together by myself. The solid wood frame feels sturdy and well-balanced. The plywood slats are supportive enough that I didn’t need a box spring and it doesn’t creak.
The drawers roll smoothly, even when full, and I like that they can be placed on either side of the bed. They’re roomy enough for blankets, pillows, or clothes. it has been a great choice so far.
