We have a similar day bed made of wood. It took us a while to realize that it’s designed for kids only because the max weight is only 160 lb! My hubby has been hesitate to sleep on it ever since. This metal frame bed is a great addition to our family! We put this in our office area, so we(adults) can rest as needed without worrying about the weight limit! It is very sturdy. It only took me about 1 hour to put it together by myself. The solid wood frame feels sturdy and well-balanced.
